Bonphotage - France Destination Wedding - Nicole and Tarik!

When Nicole contacted me about photographing her wedding in France, I was clearly very excited! Having traveled extensively throughout Europe, I was happy I could help her and her love Tarik with some venue suggestions, and it was just my luck that they chose the most magical location in the world - Chateau Bouthonvilliers (where I will have my own wedding next summer!)

I had a fabulous time taking their engagement photos in Chicago and CANNOT wait to travel to France for their destination wedding next Autumn!

I had such a great time photographing Alexa, Corey and their adorable pup at Olive Park for their engagement shoot! Their photogenic pup stole the show with his spotted tongue and sweet personality. This handsome couple got engaged in London and are so excited for their wedding in Ohio next July! Congratulations you two (I mean, three)!

Caitlin looked absolutely radiant as she walked down to the aisle to meet her soon-to-be husband Dennis! Caitlin was dressed in a lace, mermaid style, strapless gown while her bridesmaids wore navy blue gowns. Mother's of the bride and groom wore royal blue and purple and these rich jewel tones played across other details of the wedding as well, including the beautiful florals.

The couple was married surrounded by their family and friends in their hometown church. They then took a limo (where the party definitely began!) on the way to the Grand Ballroom at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Chicago. Tears were shed, laughs were had and dancing continued into the night!

Tori and Nathan contacted me all the way from Little Rock, Arkansas because they were going to be in Chicago for their two year anniversary and wanted to memorialize the day with photos. I was happy to oblige and I'm glad I did! Their downtown Chicago anniversary session was as sweet as could be!

When your client travels all the way from Canada to surprise his unsuspecting girlfriend with a proposal in front of the stunning Chicago skyline, of course you want to capture the moment!

Eliza thought she was going to Olive Park with her girlfriends to check out the Chicago skyline, but really, her fiancé had coordinated with her friends to have her arrive in the perfect location so he could surprise her and propose!

Her response was priceless! So happy to have captured these beautiful moments!

Sometimes I have the pleasure of arriving at a wedding and finding a truly magical, fairy tale like scene. From the beautiful lilac colored dress, soft pastel flower palette by Fragrant Design, Badgley Mischka jewel encrusted heels, elaborate flower arch in the garden ceremony and stunning chandelier-draped tent, no detail was forgotten.

Erin and John (real life Barbie and Ken, no really though) looked fabulous at their Trump Hotel Chicago and Galleria Marchetti wedding and their love was obvious to everyone! The wedding even included live ballads by legendary Chicago singer, John Vincent, and Erin's dad rocked the crowd with his signature Wooly Bully dance!

We feel absolutely blessed to capture both photography and videography at such beautiful events. Enjoy this sneak peek (sneak peek video coming soon!)

This jet-setting couple was a blast to photograph! World travelers, like myself, the time just flew by during their Chicago engagement session. It was really, really hard to put together a sneak peek of Liz + Dmitry's engagement session because every image opened was my favorite! In addition to being ridiculously photogenic, L + D also included their super sweet pup Max in their engagement photoshoot! Jennifer and Peter are the type of people that bring a smile to your face whether you know them or not. They have such a warm presence (can't you see it in Jennifer's sweet smile?!) - the kind that makes my job of showing love, a total breeze!

We had a fabulous time laughing and snapping pretty pictures at Lake Michigan and Milton Lee Olive Park. These two deserve only the best and I am honored to capture their wedding day in 2017! Congrats you two!

I couldn't wait a single minute more to share a sneak peek of the stunning images from Khalil and Meghan's Drake Hotel wedding! Truly like a scene out of a fairytale, the bride wore two looks and Manolo Blanhik heels (yes, the original Sex and the City blue beauties!) Her bouquet and floral decoration in bright pink, peach and ivory tones by Flowers for Dreams included gorgeous peonies and ranunculus. While she was getting ready in the penthouse suite of the Drake Hotel, he was surprised with not one, but two Tiffany pearl gifts from her loving groom.

The groom and his groomsmen wore presidential cufflinks (yes, for real) and looked as handsome as could be! After their nuptials at Hyde Park's stunning Rockefeller Chapel, the bride and groom drove off in a vintage Rolls Royce for a moment to themselves before the partying began in the fabulous Gold Coast Room at the Drake Hotel!

I am seriously swooning over Claire and Gary's downtown Chicago engagement session! We started this sun-drenched session in Lincoln Park where flowers were in full bloom. Claire looked stunning in an Akira dress, flower crown and butterfly-inspired shoes! Totally ethereal and just my style! To top it off, they brought a dozen colorful balloons to add to the playful flair!

We next went over to Millennium Park and took photos in front of the iconic bean and other architectural structures. A fun day and a beautiful couple!

When Ben called me inquiring about photographing his upcoming proposal, I knew this was going to be a sweet event! Ben had carefully thought out the exact location he wanted to pop the question to his love, Colleen. The picturesque location he chose was on the South Bridge in Lincoln Park with stunning Chicago skyline views! Colleen was caught totally off guard and the beautiful emotion of the moment was written all over her face. To top it off, Ben arranged for Colleen's friends to be hiding nearby and just after the big moment, they came running over with a bottle of champagne!

So many happy tears were shed and I am so happy for this sweet couple! Cheers you two!

Hannah and Nick are the sweetest! We started this adorable engagement session at Olive Park in Streeterville on a beautiful tree-lined street and Chicago provided it's finest weather of the year! We then walked over to Lake Michigan where Nick and Hannah wet their toes in the sand and I snapped a few more pretties. We strolled along Michigan and the love between these two was so apparent - made my job easy! Lastly, we took some fun shots in Blackhawks jerseys for these sports fans! I always love adding a touch of the couple's unique personality in every shoot <3

As a photographer, you live for beautiful light! As the weather turns to summer in Chicago (finally!), the beautiful light follows. This "golden hour" anniversary shoot was so much fun and I just can't get enough of the golden hues and happy faces!

There is something unique about being a wedding photographer that you don't find in any other profession. As a wedding photographer, you have the opportunity to meet people at a critical and life-changing time of their lives. Couples are trusting you to capture their once in a lifetime moments beautifully and it is a responsibility I don't take lightly. This special relationship also lends itself to a trusting one, and often to the beginning of a lifelong relationship.

From my first meeting with Rachel, I knew she would be one of those special friends in life that I may have not have ever met had it not been for this fabulous job! Rachel and Juan have a beautiful and lasting love and I am truly honored to capture their wedding next summer!
