After Covid delayed their wedding by a year, Nichole and Paul were finally able to say I Do in front of their family and friends! The day started and ended at the Intercontinental on Michigan Ave, with a stop in Olive Park for that gorgeous skyline! A little rain didn’t slow them down, as they partied the night away - but we did sneak away during the reception for photos on top of the hotel! In a word- Perfect! Congratulations you two! Bermuda is an undeniably idyllic place that simply makes my heart happy! The colors on the island are a feast for the eyes (and the film photographer!) The pastel colored buildings in shades of pink and yellow, the lush cliffs overlooking the crashing over the crystal clear turquoise waters below; there is nothing more serene and peaceful. Add to this scene a stunning luxury resort, the Princess Hamilton, the sweetest couple and gorgeous florals - and MAGIC! The difference between being a good and a great wedding photographer is the ability to capture all of the little in between moments. Sure, the first kiss is important, the bride walking down the aisle is a must, but what about that split second where a mother sees her daughter in her wedding gown for the first time? The reaction occurs in an instant, and the documented image is one the bride and family will cherish forever. We usually focus on details and bride and groom portraits for our sneak peeks (because after all it is THEIR day), BUT this wedding was just so full of beautiful emotion and love, that we felt those moments needed to be included.
