Not only had be purchased a *stunning* yellow diamond but he had also arranged to have his mother, Kristin's mother and Kristin's best friend surprise her after the proposal. You'd never know the weather was below 30 degrees based on the happy smiles on this newly engaged couple! After ice skating and stopping for hot chocolate, they headed to Milton Lee Olive Park where Kristin thought they were meeting with one of their friends. Much to her surprise (scroll down for *priceless* surprise face), James dropped to his knee and asked her to be his forever. Of course, she said YES!

Claire looked stunning in an Akira dress, flower crown and butterfly-inspired shoes! Totally ethereal and just my style! To top it off, they brought a dozen colorful balloons to add to the playful flair!
We next went over to Millennium Park and took photos in front of the iconic bean and other architectural structures. A fun day and a beautiful couple!

Ben had carefully thought out the exact location he wanted to pop the question to his love, Colleen. The picturesque location he chose was on the South Bridge in Lincoln Park with stunning Chicago skyline views! Colleen was caught totally off guard and the beautiful emotion of the moment was written all over her face. To top it off, Ben arranged for Colleen's friends to be hiding nearby and just after the big moment, they came running over with a bottle of champagne!

Read MoreLast night, I took the elevator 94 floors up to the Hancock observatory where stunning Chicago views awaited me. But more significantly, Tyler was waiting for the moment he'd planned to propose to his love of four years, Sharaya.
Surrounded by friends and family, Tyler got down on one knee and asked Sharaya to spend her life with him. Stunned and elated, of course she said yes!

Read MoreWhen Andres contacted me about photographing his surprise proposal to his girlfriend of 7 years, I was elated! Andres and Paula recently moved to Chicago from Miami and he wanted to find a warm, tropical place to propose to remind her of her home and family. We decided that the Lincoln Park Conservatory would be perfect!
Amongst the luscious greens and spring flowers, Andres told Paula a "story" he had carefully thought of about a "friend" who reminded him a lot of them. I watched from a few feet behind as I pretended to be photographing the flowers. When I saw him get on his knee and the ecstatic look on Paula's face...I remembered why I truly have the best job in the world. I get to capture love and happiness!
