Bonphotage Fine Art Wedding Photography Workshop Part I - Villa Terrace, Milwaukee - As Published in Martha Stewart Weddings

What an absolute dream to see our work published on Martha Stewart Weddings today! You would never know it was a freezing day in Milwaukee when a dream team of vendors and the Bonphotage Photography  team got together in Milwaukee at Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum for the Bonphotage Photography workshop ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

From Martha Stewart, "No place has quite the same allure as Europe—which explains why it's a popular wedding destination for couples planning an ultra-romantic fête. While each across-the-pond country comes with its own rich legacy and historic architecture, that Old-World feeling distinct to Europe surrounds you no matter where you are on the continent. Whether you're standing in front of a château in the South of France or basking in the sun on a Spanish villa's veranda, there's one thing that's certain: That vibe, strong enough to make you dream of a life as an ex-pat, doesn't come along very often when you're stateside—and you sense it even less (if at all) in your hometown. At least, that's what Lynzie Hazan of  believed until she stumbled upon the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum in—believe it or not—Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hazan took one look at the mansion, designed in the style of a 16th-century Italian Renaissance mansion, and knew that it "needed to be captured in an elegant way." Suddenly, the idea came to her. "While we all dream of a European wedding, it isn't always an option," she explains. "So, why not bring Europe to the couple?"

She then assembled a dream team—which included Régine Danielle Events and Frontier Flowers of Fontana—to bring her vision of a European-inspired styled shoot, complete with a color palette informed by the Tuscan-inspired venue, vintage rentals, and an antique-filled tablescape, to life. With the villa's sprawling gardens, terracotta tiled roof, and waterfront location (it overlooks Lake Michigan!) as a backdrop, it's almost impossible to believe that this concept came together in the continental U.S.

Of course, not every couple has access to a venue designed with the Italianate architecture of the past as a model, especially if they're getting hitched in the place where they grew up. But that absolutely doesn't mean that you can't plan a European-themed celebration. Here, Hazan and her team give their tips on planning and executing a hometown wedding that feels like a little sliver of Tuscany."

Bonphotage Fine Art Bridal Wedding Photography - Editorial Published in One Fourth Magazine

Sometimes you just need to put a beautiful bride in a yellow vintage truck, surround her by lemons and vines and bring Palm Springs feels to Chicago! While we LOVE our real weddings, there is something to be said for feeding your creativity and playing with lighting and texture. When Flowers for Dreams asked us to capture a vibrant, colorful editorial for the main feature in One Fourth Magazine, it was a no-brainer!

The concept was brilliantly created by Unadorned Magazine and took place at Architectural Artifacts in Chicago's trendy West Loop. Pineapples and citrus adorned the gold cart and vintage couch from Bowery and Bash. We played with shooting film in the dark, lighting techniques and enough florals to keep us swooning for weeks after!

See more from this incredible shoot here and in the recent print issue of One Fourth Mag. Scroll down to see incredible Bonphotage Videography of the whole editorial!

Bonphotage Fine Art Chicago Wedding Photography - The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii & 19 East - Courtney + Kyle

I can't say enough good things about Courtney and Kyle and their beautiful wedding! From her classic gown, to portraits at Chicago's architectural treasure - Union Station, to the emotional ceremony (where Courtney couldn't quite wait for the first kiss) to the fun dance party at 19 East, it was really a perfect day! Even mom and dad were tearing it up on the dance floor (which is what weddings are all about, right?!)

We are honored to have been a small part of their wedding day and we are so excited to share a sneak peek into their day! Congrats you two!

Bonphotage Fine Art Chicago Wedding Photography - St. Michael's Church & 19 East - Lindsay + Brian

From the first time I spoke with Lindsay on the phone, I was super excited about capturing her wedding! Lindsay and Brian flew in from Manhattan to have their ceremony in Chicago, and more specifically, at St. Michael's in Old Town, where her mother and grandmother were also married. After the ceremony, the party moved to 19 East (one of our favorite Chicago venues!) where Food For Thought served international fare from all the countries around the world where the newlyweds have traveled. A wedding centered around travel with thoughtful details? My kind of wedding! The whole day was planned seamlessly by Marquette Events.

Congrats you two and enjoy this sneak peek!
