Quite possibly the most beautiful wedding we've had the privilege of covering, Nicole + Tarik's special day was nothing short of a dream! The ceremony took place by the chapel steps at the historic Chateau Bouthonvilliers in the French Countryside. It had been raining in the morning but the skies opened up with the perfect amount of sun and light breeze right before they said "I do" (a film photographer's dream!) The flowers from Floresie were out of this world (see her bouquet!!) and we absolutely cannot forget Nicole's blush Lazaro dress which literally stopped me in my tracks! Every detail was accounted for, from the oval emerald stunning engagement ring, to the hand calligraphed vow books to the studded louboutins, and all of it was perfectly executed by Mayra from The Event House.

Sure, the first kiss is important, the bride walking down the aisle is a must, but what about that split second where a mother sees her daughter in her wedding gown for the first time? The reaction occurs in an instant, and the documented image is one the bride and family will cherish forever. We usually focus on details and bride and groom portraits for our sneak peeks (because after all it is THEIR day), BUT this wedding was just so full of beautiful emotion and love, that we felt those moments needed to be included. I recently had an opportunity to photograph on film at a styled editorial shoot with Cody Krogman of Cody Krogman Photography. The shoot took place at the Warwick Allerton Hotel in downtown Chicago, in their beautifully lit ballroom. All of the details were perfectly planned by Cody and Shannon of Panache and Promises.

Carolina was a beautiful vision in her mermaid silhouette, lace wedding gown and gold sparkly heels. Her best ladies wore violet colored chiffon bridesmaids gowns in alternating styles. No detail was overlooked including the brides photo of her grandfather kept in a locket around her bouquet *tear*
At several points during their wedding, I actually had to hold in the emotion myself, including when she and her father both shed a tear during the father daughter dance and when the groom's brother told the most hilarious stories during the best man speech!
