Despite the rigid temperatures, these two had a great attitude, posed beautifully for their session and their love shined through as though in the images as though it weren't horribly uncomfortable outside. From that moment on, I knew these two would be a joy to work with and I couldn't wait for their big day the following Autumn!

When I took Ciarra and Rob's engagement photos last year in Chicago and heard about their plans to be married in an intimate wedding at the beautiful Clarke Estate in southern California, I knew I had to capture their special day!
Surrounded by family and friends, Ciarra walked down the aisle in the courtyard of the Clarke Estate with a stunning organic backdrop of dahlias and hydrangeas! And Rob's face when he saw his gorgeous bride...priceless! As a photographer, I love capturing real, authentic emotion and this wedding was full of it! Carolina was a beautiful vision in her mermaid silhouette, lace wedding gown and gold sparkly heels. Her best ladies wore violet colored chiffon bridesmaids gowns in alternating styles. No detail was overlooked including the brides photo of her grandfather kept in a locket around her bouquet *tear*
At several points during their wedding, I actually had to hold in the emotion myself, including when she and her father both shed a tear during the father daughter dance and when the groom's brother told the most hilarious stories during the best man speech!

And when I headed around town with Cat and Courtney for their Chicago engagement shoot, it was clear that real love is what I'd be capturing on their wedding day. Add to that the fact that their wedding was going to take place at the W Hotel with stunning views of Lake Michigan followed by the ceremony and reception on a yacht on Lake Michigan...umm count us in!
Cat wore a stunning strapless satin gown and Courtney rocked a modern, jumper from Kleinfelds. The ladies wore fabulous Bagdley Mischka heels and Cat carried a bouquet of ranunculus, roses, hydrangeas and dusty millers. The couple's adorable chihuahua Brighton was in attendance, as were a sweet flower girl and ring bearer.
The perfect evening ended in fireworks over Navy Pier, emotional and happy toasts and Cat even serenaded Courtney with a ballad she had sung to her early in their relationship! #cgcdlove for sure!
The weather and light couldn't have been more beautiful for their wedding day and the happiness and joy from their family and friends who traveled from across the country was truly one for the record books!
